The AppsAnywhere mission is simple, but powerful: we support education institutions to provide students with easy, secure, and equitable access to the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, anytime, anywhere. This means we strive to remove complexity, excessive cost and resources from software provision and management, to offer students a seamless and positive digital experience that enhances their learning journey.

Today, more than ever, partnerships play a key role in solving increasingly complex problems for institutions, from stagnating revenues to increasing student expectations, rapid technology advancements, and cybersecurity threats. Taking a collaborative ecosystem approach to these complex challenges will be a powerful tool for institutions, as they must become more adaptable and efficient with their resources.

Our integration with Blackboard and Canvas are designed to keep the students engaged in their learning environment and provides enhanced benefits for IT teams.

Internally, our teams work closely together to better understand and improve the customer experience and benefits. We work in a friendly, open, and caring environment, where everyone is valued for their expertise and unique skillset, as well as their personal approach.

  • Customer Success is there to help through the transition and ensure you have everything you need to succeed. With dedicated teams in the UK and US, we spend time getting to know you and your institution, we use our technology expertise and sector knowledge to advise and support you as best as we can.
  • The Support team not only solves your problems, but also shares their knowledge, so you can solve any issues with less disruption.
  • The Product Development team is well connected across the business and with clients, and they work around the clock to make improvements with every release. And now, with more clients in the cloud, our updates are in-place, which means you can benefit from new features and fixes as soon as they become available, at a time that is convenient to you.

As a company, we value the wellbeing of our staff, and we invest in social activities that bring us closer together as a team. Each year, we celebrate a Wellbeing Week, where employees get to take a day off, and for a whole week we focus on our wellbeing at work and at home, with activities to enhance that. We also revisit our company values and renew our commitment to each other and our customers.

We often have internal hackathon-style festivals, such as AppsAnywhere Fest 2023, where we came up with a company-wide plan to “Make it easier” – easier to understand, buy, install and maintain.

This still informs every development of the product and operations, and the results have been welcomed by clients across the globe:

  • The automated licensing removes a lot of time and complexity for IT teams
  • The AppsAnywhere 3.2 upgrade is full of quality-of-life improvements for clients and users, such as in place upgrades and provisioning, integration with LMS or student portals, and so much more.

Sales partnerships

From the first point of contact, we will focus on you, trying to understand your context, your needs and pain points. As long-term education veterans, we understand that each institution has its unique environment, and that one solution doesn’t fit all. So, our product and approach come with a lot of customization, which is set up to your specific needs.

When you start your AppsAnywhere journey, you won’t be rushed into full implementation. Together, we will design a proof of concept, a pilot that helps you learn about our product’s behavior in your environment and informs the full roll out. Your existing technology will be integrated with our product, and it will make use of the infrastructure in place, to deliver maximum positive impact. We will always be open and transparent about how long it takes, what resources you’ll need, and how it’s going to impact your institution. We will work with the resources you have and will aim to create minimum disruption.

From the moment you join the AppsAnywhere community, you will be allocated a dedicated Customer Success Manager who is your trusted partner, providing personalized guidance and support. Nick Johnston, our CEO, is also well known to all our clients, and he is often on the road visiting universities and colleges across the globe, to ensure we continue to support institutions in their strategic goals.

  • The SUMMIT Series brings together the AppsAnywhere community to share learnings and best practice, to build relationships and to collaborate. This is a professional development event, where you not only learn about AppsAnywhere’s latest developments, but also learn from peers about how they are navigating specific challenges and opportunities. This year’s SUMMIT events will be on 16th May, at York University for North America (US and Canada) and 5-6 June, in London for the UK and Europe.
